Who am I?
I’m a qualified and experienced psychotherapist, and I bring a warm, genuine presence to my work. I’m curious, kind, and thoughtful, and I take an active, compassionate role in exploring what matters to you, helping us find a way forward that feels right for you. I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP), and a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), which provides us both with the reassurance that I am working ethically and am committed to deepening my knowledge and skills throughout my working life.
Training & Experience
I’ve completed over five years of clinical training and supervision at The Metanoia Institute, where I was awarded a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma in Psychotherapy and a masters in Person-Centred Psychotherapy (accredited by Middlesex University), graduating with distinction.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I studied psychology and sociology at undergraduate level, and spent several years working in finance and later in strategic roles within the civil service. During that time, I came to understand how stressful and overwhelming work can feel at times, balancing deadlines, responsibilities, and the everyday demands of life. I know how these pressures can spill over into your wellbeing and relationships, and this awareness continues to shape the way I meet you with empathy and understanding.
What can I help with?
I’ve been working with clients since 2021. These are some of the areas I have experience with in supporting clients: a general sense that things are 'not right' with you, anxiety, grief and loss, depression, emotional abuse, family conflict, infertility and miscarriage, hopelessness, life transitions, loneliness, low self-esteem, ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, suicide ideation, parenting, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse, social anxiety, stress, 'stuckness', trauma, and workplace issues.
Professional Ethics
I’m an accredited member of the UKCP and a registered member of the BACP, following their ethical frameworks, which support anti-oppressive, anti-racist practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development. My work is guided by core values of trustworthiness, transparency, integrity, and deep respect for each person I work with.
I’m committed to offering a safe, affirming, and reliable space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and for those who identify as gender, sex, or relationship diverse.
